Steps
- Open Reporting and review the date range you’re reconciling.
- Identify the deposit total you expect to reach the bank.
- Confirm settlement status for the day’s transactions.
- Compare:
- PayStack deposit totals
- Bank deposit amount(s)
- PMS totals (if applicable)
- If a deposit looks delayed, wait for the normal funding window and re-check.
What Happens Next
- Deposits are typically based on settled activity and funding timing.
- Timing can vary by bank processing windows, weekends/holidays, and settlement status.
You’ll Know It Worked When
- The deposit total in reporting matches what lands in the bank (within normal timing).
- Any differences between PMS totals and deposit totals are explainable (for example, fees).
Common Issues
- Deposit hasn’t arrived yet: confirm whether transactions have settled and consider weekends/holidays.
- Deposit amount doesn’t match PMS totals: deposit totals may include fees that are not part of production.
- Still missing after normal timing: capture the date range and expected amount and escalate with support.
