Understand what patients receive by text/email and what links and receipts look like.
Steps
- Identify the workflow you’re sending (statement, receipt, payment link, or reminder).
- Confirm the delivery channel (text or email) and that the patient contact info is correct.
- Send the message.
- If needed, open the message preview or use a test patient to see the exact wording and link experience.
What Happens Next
- Patients receive a message with a link (when applicable) and can complete the next step (view/pay/confirm).
- Delivery and tracking depends on the channel and your messaging settings.
You’ll Know It Worked When
- The message shows as sent.
- The patient can open the link and complete the intended action.
Common Issues
- Patient didn’t receive the message: verify phone/email and resend.
- Link doesn’t work: confirm the message template and that the patient record is correct.
- Wrong patient received it: double-check the patient selected before resending and escalate if needed.
