Know What Patients Receive

Understand what patients receive by text/email and what links and receipts look like.

Steps

  1. Identify the workflow you’re sending (statement, receipt, payment link, or reminder).
  1. Confirm the delivery channel (text or email) and that the patient contact info is correct.
  1. Send the message.
  1. If needed, open the message preview or use a test patient to see the exact wording and link experience.

What Happens Next

  • Patients receive a message with a link (when applicable) and can complete the next step (view/pay/confirm).
  • Delivery and tracking depends on the channel and your messaging settings.

You’ll Know It Worked When

  • The message shows as sent.
  • The patient can open the link and complete the intended action.

Common Issues

  • Patient didn’t receive the message: verify phone/email and resend.
  • Link doesn’t work: confirm the message template and that the patient record is correct.
  • Wrong patient received it: double-check the patient selected before resending and escalate if needed.
