Meet Network Requirements
Confirm your network supports PayStack and terminals and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Steps
- Confirm the workstation running PayStack has reliable internet access.
- Confirm payment terminals are on the correct network and can reach the internet.
- If you’re using a Windows integrator, confirm it can connect (no blocked connectivity).
- Run a quick test:
- Open PayStack and load a patient.
- Confirm the terminal is discoverable/connected (if applicable).
What Happens Next
- Stable network connectivity is required for payments, reporting, and syncing back to your Practice Management System (PMS).
- If network access is unreliable or blocked, payments may fail or syncing may be delayed.
You’ll Know It Worked When
- The PayStack app stays connected without errors.
- Terminals show as connected and can approve a test payment.
- Sync activity completes within normal timing.
Common Issues
- Terminal not found: confirm the terminal is on the same network and powered on.
- Intermittent failures: check Wi‑Fi strength, switch to wired where possible, and re-test.
- Blocked connections: work with IT to allow required outbound traffic for PayStack and terminal connectivity.
