Configure Devices for PayStack
Configure workstations and terminals so PayStack runs reliably.
Steps
- Choose the workstation that will run PayStack (and the Windows integrator, if used).
- Confirm basic workstation readiness:
- Reliable internet connection
- Power settings that prevent sleep during business hours (recommended)
- Required permissions to install and update apps
- Confirm the payment terminal is set up and connected to the correct network.
- Open PayStack and verify you can complete a basic workflow (load patient β start payment β see terminal).
What Happens Next
- Correct device configuration reduces payment failures and prevents sync interruptions.
- If a workstation sleeps or loses network, payments and syncing can fail or delay.
Youβll Know It Worked When
- PayStack stays connected without errors.
- Terminals remain discoverable/connected.
- Payments can be processed end-to-end.
Common Issues
- Workstation goes to sleep: update power settings and re-test.
- Terminal disconnects: verify network stability and terminal configuration.
- Updates fail: confirm admin permissions on the workstation.
